The Teal Diva 5k run/walk event is more than a 5k. It is an opportunity for women currently battling a gynecologic cancer to come together meeting other warriors. An opportunity for families and friends to support the woman in their life impacted by this disease. A time for us to join our nurses and doctors outside of the clinic. It is an opportunity to honor loved ones. A chance for us to come together and turn the streets teal, our color for awareness. And to educate the community on the signs and symptoms of this deadly disease.
We want to be together. We want to honor HER with you! Want to celebrate YOUR life with YOU! We want to turn the streets teal with YOU! We want to walk or run with YOU! We want to be there to cry with each of you, hug you and look you in the face to say, THANK YOU!
We take the health of our community seriously. It is our responsibility as an organization devoted to health awareness, to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. On the recommendation of federal, state and local government and interests of the safety and well-being of our supporters, volunteers and advocates, our 5k events will now have a VIRTUAL option. The good news is that you will now have an extended time to complete the 5k. Getting outside and running/walking (as long as you maintain social distancing of 6 feet from others) is a great way to keep your sanity during social isolation.
We thank you for your understanding as we try navigating through these challenging times.
